In the spring of 2003, we added modular homes to our selection becoming an exclusive builder of Beracah Homes, Inc. for the Eastern Shore of Maryland. By offering modular homes, we created a faster turn-around time and a slight price break to our customers. Our manufacture of modular homes ONLY delivers to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, but we still offer stick built construction to all areas within a 60-mile radius of our headquarters in Ridgely, MD.

A large portion of our population has never been properly educated on modular homes and the benefits a modular offers to the average homeowner. Most people do not know modular homes are not the same as "manufactured homes". Modular homes are built to the same state and local building codes as stick built homes. In contrast, manufactured homes comply with HUD/CODE, which requires homes to be constructed on a non-removable sheet chassis. Many communities have restrictions on where manufactured homes can be located. Also, modular homes have the highest quality because they are built in a modern controlled environment and they are precision engineered for a lifetime of trouble-free structural durability.

Quality control is maintained by constant inspections throughout the construction process. Additional factory insulation and precision building techniques make modular homes a super efficient, energy conservative home. Although modular homes are often a solid bargain, you should not expect an unrealistic discount to other types of building. If you do not find a floor plan that meets your needs, don't get discouraged, our knowledgeable staff can sit down with you and help design the home of your dreams. Once a floor plan is decided on and all state and local permits are received, the construction process starts. Unlike most manufacturers, tours of the factory are given throughout the construction process, this is because the manufacturer is only 25 minutes from our office, whereas most are out of state.
